FiscalNote releases FN Accelerate, a free funding tracker that helps organizations find sources of economic relief

The new tool was built to help organizations find relief as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

WASHINGTON, DC – July 1, 2020 – FiscalNote announces today the release of FiscalNote Accelerate, a free funding tracker that makes it easy for organizations of all sizes to search for public and private sources of financial relief. The product allows users to easily identify and track relevant funding sources at the state and federal level, as well as in the 60 largest metro areas.

“We realized the economic ramifications of the COVID-19 pandemic would be immense and wanted to figure out how we were positioned to help"

Tim Hwang, CEO & Co-Founder

“We realized the economic ramifications of the COVID-19 pandemic would be immense and wanted to figure out how we were positioned to help,” said FiscalNote CEO and Co-Founder Tim Hwang. “By leveraging our ability to build software that makes large quantities of data actionable, we could quickly aggregate and standardize updated information on sources of capital being offered by local, state, and federal governments.”

Hwang directed fellow Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer Gerald Yao to spearhead the product.

“We were surprised that a comprehensive and up-to-date resource didn’t already exist,” Yao noted. “Much like when we founded FiscalNote in 2013, we strongly felt that we could bridge the  gap for people to better understand what was happening in government and how it impacts them.”

Access tthe product at accelerate.FiscalNote.com is open to the public and searches over a comprehensive database of both private and public grants, loans, and tax incentives. By matching funding sources in the database with organization descriptions input by the user, the product helps drive discovery of timely and relevant sources of financial relief.

In addition to FN Accelerate, FiscalNote has launched a series of other publicly accessible resources, including its Find-Your-Legislator tool to help constituents more easily engage their representatives in the political process. It also released the Coronavirus Resource Center in March, a comprehensive website that not only consolidates real-time public health data, editorial content, and social media surrounding coronavirus-related news, but also relevant domestic and international legislative activity.
