PolicyNote Gives You More Control Over How You Manage Alerts

To manage alerts effectively, you need to be able to do more than stay current. You need to be able to prioritize what matters, for the right work, without it affecting the work of others on your team. With PolicyNote's updated Alerts experience, you get more granular control over relevance settings, clearer visibility into team activity, and a faster, more intuitive alerts workflow from start to finish.

Relevance Controls That Match How You Work

Not every decision you make about an alert should apply across the board. Sometimes you want to mark something irrelevant to a single alert queue. Other times, you want that decision to carry across an entire project. The updated Mark Irrelevant feature now respects the context you're working in.

  • Individual Alert View: Mark an item irrelevant for that specific alert only, and decisions stay scoped to where you're working.
  • Project View: Marking an item irrelevant applies across all alerts within that project, keeping your project queue clean without affecting other work.
  • All Alerts View: Take a broader view and choose which specific alerts an item should be marked irrelevant to, giving you precise, deliberate control at scale.

Mark Relevant works the same way. When you add a policy to a project, it only moves out of the alert queue for that specific project, so it continues to surface in other relevant queues where it still belongs.

See What's Happening Without Having to Dig

Shared projects mean shared decisions, and now it's easier to see who made them. Latest Alert Activity now surfaces directly on the alert card and in the quick view flyout, showing who marked something read or irrelevant, and when. No more hunting through history to understand the current state of an alert.

A dedicated Marked Irrelevant filter is also now available so you can quickly pull up everything that's been dismissed, apply additional filters to find what you need, and export that list if needed.

Why It Matters for Government Affairs

Effective alert management is at the core of staying ahead of policy developments. When your team is working across multiple projects and stakeholders, the ability to make precise, context-aware decisions and see exactly what your colleagues have acted on is what separates reactive monitoring from proactive strategy.

These updates bring the clarity and control your team needs to triage faster, collaborate more confidently, and never miss what matters most.
